How do you become an appliance expert?
Chad: To truly be an expert at something, immerse yourself in it and learn all you can. At Judd & Black, our Sales Team is focused on training to stay updated with the new technologies of today's appliance brands. We're always learning. We go to immersive training events at the manufacturer's factory, do online training modules with completion certifications, and attend in-store and local roadshow training sessions with manufacturer representatives.
We gain extensive product knowledge and create working relationships with the brands we carry. Experience assisting customers and time in the industry is also a big part of what sets team members apart as appliance experts.
What does Judd & Black look for when adding to the showroom sales team?
Chad: We look for people with a friendly personality and who love helping people. We love hiring from within Judd & Black. For example, promoting a delivery person or someone from our customer service department. Having an existing knowledge of the products helps current employees transition to the sales team, hit the ground running, and advance their careers.
